For the Love of Flowers: Melissa and Shawn, September 2011

I've known Melissa, and her twin sister Marcia, since I was 6 years old.  We went to gradeschool together all the way from Kindergarten to eigth grade.  Our families used to go to Pizza Hut every week to cash in our "Book It" certificates (anyone remember those), and play Street Fighter on an old school video game machine.  Our parents remain great friends to this day, and they even attended my own wedding.  When Melissa asked me to do her flowers the answer was of course yes!  She and her mom had chosen a bright fun color palette with a dark mocha brown accent.  They were attracted to simple arrangments of candles and rose petals, and textural bouquets.  I was lucky enough to get my hands on some amazing magenta garden roses for Melissa's bridal bouquet.  All in all an easy and fun event to be a part of!
