Your City Thursday: The Concrete Catwalk and Style & Pepper

Today I want to use Your City Thursday to promote an awesome local business, blog, and all around cute lady (also a new member of our "Sponsor/Homies" sidebar).  Recently seen in the fashion issue of INK Magazine, Jessie Artique is one of our local Kansas City entrepreneurs.  Author, photographer, and creator of the Kansas City street style blog The Concrete Catwalk, Jessie also recently launched her own business Style & Pepper, and is the only person I know who can use the phrase "sweetie pie" and make it sound cool.  Specializing in all things fashion she offers services such as closet consultations, event ensemble, and photo shoot styling.  Check out both her websites now and get inspired by this fashionable Kansas Citian!

Your City Thursday: Kansas City Art Scene

Kansas City has an amazing and ever growing art scene.  If you don't know by now (which you should) in the Crossroads District every First Friday of the month all the galleries are open their new shows and their doors to the public.  This First Friday some of my favorite artists and businesses are hosting events.  Here's whats happening:

 Genevieve Flynn Studios located at 1717 Oak is hosting a Valentines Day Event.  Bring your sweetie and check out the master metalsmiths work.  

Scarlett Garnet is opening their new brick and mortar studio located at 504 E. 18th Street on the corner (right by Grinders).  Check out her new space, her lovely jewelry designs, and enjoy some free brew!

Speak Salon Studio located at 327 1/2 Southwest Blvd. (down the street from Hammerpress).  Come check out photography by Adam Mitchell, shop their adorable selection of apparel, accessories, and of course beauty products.
